Chris Aprahamian, CPA, IRS Enrolled Agent

Chris Aprahamian, CPA (licensed since 2014) and IRS Enrolled Agent, is the founder of The Taxation Experts Inc. He provides professional tax preparation, tax strategy, and IRS tax resolution services to individuals, business owners, and real estate investors across the United States.

With over a decade of public accounting experience, Chris helps clients reduce tax liabilities, resolve back taxes, and stay fully compliant with federal and state tax laws. His expertise includes individual and business tax returns, entity structuring, multi-entity coordination, and real estate taxation.

As a real estate investor himself, Chris brings practical, firsthand insight into rental properties, depreciation strategies, and investor-focused tax planning. He understands the financial decisions his clients face because he makes them as well.

Chris also represents clients before the IRS and state tax agencies nationwide, assisting with back taxes, tax notices, audits, payment plans, and penalty abatement. He is known for clear communication, practical solutions, and helping clients feel confident and in control of their financial future.

Jasmine Ponce de Leon, Enrolled Agent

Jasmine Bactad-Ponce de Leon is an IRS Enrolled Agent at The Taxation Experts, federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Born and raised in the South Bay, she began preparing tax returns in 2016 through the VITA program at San Francisco State University and has been with our firm since 2018.

Jasmine provides tax preparation and tax support services for individuals and small businesses, with a strong focus on rental property and real estate investor taxes. She works with Schedule E rental income, multi-property landlords, depreciation reporting, and related compliance needs. She also assists with 1099 filings, amended tax returns, estimated tax payments, and IRS and state tax notices.

In addition to tax preparation, Jasmine supports IRS tax resolution and state tax resolution efforts, helping clients respond to notices, correct filing issues, and stay compliant. Known for her detail-driven approach and clear communication, she takes the time to understand each client’s situation and deliver accurate, dependable results. Jasmine enjoys helping clients feel confident and organized year-round.

Ellen Ruan

Ellen Ruan is a Bookkeeper at The Taxation Experts and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia) with over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and has worked across both international corporations and accounting firms, bringing broad technical expertise and real-world business insight to her role.

Ellen provides comprehensive bookkeeping services for small businesses and international companies, including bank reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll processing, sales tax compliance, 1099 filings, and year-end close support. She has experience managing high-volume accounts and currently oversees bookkeeping for more than 10 clients, including complex clean-up projects for disorganized or backlogged financial records.

Her background includes working with small businesses and international construction companies, giving her strong industry and operational understanding. Ellen is proficient in QuickBooks, SAP, MYOB, and ERP systems, ensuring accurate reporting and streamlined financial processes.

Detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement, Ellen focuses on delivering accurate, timely financial information so clients can clearly understand their numbers and make informed business decisions. She takes pride in helping business owners gain clarity, improve operations, and eliminate surprises in their financial reporting.

Mariano Isaac-Garcia

Mariano Isaac-Garcia is the Front Desk Coordinator at The Taxation Experts and the first point of contact for our clients. He plays a key role in ensuring a smooth, organized, and welcoming experience from the moment clients connect with our office.

Mariano manages appointment scheduling, client communications, document intake, and administrative coordination to keep daily operations running efficiently. He assists clients with portal access, document submissions, and general inquiries, helping streamline the tax preparation and bookkeeping process.

Known for his professionalism, responsiveness, and friendly approach, Mariano is committed to making every interaction clear and stress-free. He takes pride in supporting both clients and the team, ensuring that everyone stays informed, organized, and on track throughout the year.

Jirair Sevdayan EA

Jirair has been preparing tax returns since 2014, with a strong focus on real estate. An Enrolled Agent and UC Santa Barbara graduate, he developed an interest in taxes after seeing how deeply they affect people’s lives—and he agrees with Benjamin Franklin: in life, the only guarantees are death and taxes.

Before entering the tax world full-time, Jirair spent two years as a substitute teacher, where he built the communication and organizational skills he now uses to help clients stay on track and handle their responsibilities with confidence.

Outside of work, he performs and teaches classical music and stays active at the gym. Summers are typically reserved for the outdoors—camping, rafting, or scuba diving in Maui.
